Here's some musing on 'the rules' of writing and how we should view them, by fantasy author and online acquaintance Teresa Edgerton.

Its great advice for anyone trying to do Ulysses before they've even figured Melysses. Picasso went to art school long before he put both eyes on the same side of his subject's faces and JG Ballard, lest we forget, wrote The Wind from Nowhere and The Drowned World before he could master the beautiful savagery of Crash and The Attrocity Exhibition.

And I'm still trying to make sense of the instructions that have come with this flat pack bed I've bought...
